Eliminating Water Odors
The other day, my neighbor was complaining about the particular odor of his tap water, so I had to tell him my secret for eliminating water odors. I told him that my drinking water once had a very strong chlorine smell and taste to it. I mentioned that it was very easy and inexpensive to solve this problem, and he was begging to know how to do it!
I told him that it's as easy as installing water filters on your taps and then you're on your way to eliminating water odors. Not only is it very handy to have fresh water coming out of your taps on demand, you can also save on the costs of bottled water. If you think about it, there's really no need to buy bottles of water when you can have the same quality of water pumping out of your taps!
Drink More Water!
It's a commonly known fact that we don't drink as much water as we should. Current recommendations call for eight glasses a day--who among us reaches that goal? I know I don't. Installing water purifiers either under the sink or on the counter can help motivate you to drink more water. If the water you have available is clean and fresh, you are less likely to reach for an unhealthy soda or sugar-filled juice.
If you are concerned with how an ungainly water purifier will blend (or not) into your home decor, don't worry. That's why an under-the-sink unit may be better for you. You may lose a little storage space under the sink, but it's a small price to pay not to have the unit visible in your kitchen.
