Biozone Water Purifiers
Biozone water purifiers combine ultraviolet light with a fusion filter to remove contaminants from your drinking water. They are called "fusion filters" because there are actually three filters pressed together (two polypropylene and one carbon) to provide an even greater efficiency level. The carbon layer will not release any carbon into your drinking water.
The reason Biozone water purifiers have such high efficiency rates can be understood when you look at their methods: they combine the three in one filter with ultraviolet light, on its own a powerful cleaner. The more cleaning elements you have, the more contaminants you'll be able to remove. It's a pretty elementary concept, really, taken to a higher level. When you combine all these cleaning methods, you can drink water that is free from sediment, chlorine, lead, bacteria, viruses, and any other organic contaminants lurking around.
The Advantages of Clean Water
You may not be that worried about the condition of your water. If you're not drawing water from your own well, it's municipally provided and cleaned, isn't it? Sure, but no matter how clean water is when it leaves the purification facility, what happens when it passes through the pipes in your home? If you live in an older home, there's no telling what kind of chemicals, dirt, or contaminants are lurking inside, attaching themselves to your water supply. If you live in a brand new house, you can most likely relax. However, those of you in homes ten or more years old might want to start researching filters--it's better to be safe than sorry!
The great thing about Biozone purifiers is the double action of the filter and ultraviolet light. It's important to maintain a constant wavelength when dealing with uv light filters, so be sure the filter you choose has been documented to do this. If possible, you'd like for your water filtration system to exceed the NSF's drinking water standards.
