Air Cooling
Air cooling technology has advanced and leaps and bounds over the past half-century. Whereas units from the mid-1950s blew untreated air, today's air coolers purify the air and control the level of humidity. This full-service climate control allows you to adjust your environment more specifically.
What happens when your air cooling needs are very different from those with whom you cohabitate or work? Internal body sensitivities to temperature vary tremendously--especially within the office. Personally, I don't enjoy the kind of air cooling that brings the air temperature below 70 degrees.
Air Cooling in the Office
Additionally, your air cooling needs may vary from day-to-day--and from season to season--given your climate. Adapting yourself to the office norm requires some give-and-take on your part. Be political--but don't sacrifice your personal comfort for fear of speaking out.
If you encounter a co-worker with a bizarre program for your office air, contact a supervisor. OSHA, the government's workplace health monitoring agency, sets a number of rigid guidelines. You have every right to see that your company follows these standards strictly.
